I designed a foldable corrugated board scanner for working from home during COVID.
This design aims to use the material efficiently with the least cut-off waste and it can be easily cut with laser on cardboard.
The finished fl at the state of the A4 Folding Scanner is 542 x 349mm. It is easy to stow into any narrow space such as the one between a desk and a wall.
iPhone 7 Plus can be placed within the boundary as marked. The centre of the camera view perfectly matched the centre of the file bed as calculated. The alignment of the iPhone and file worked exceptionally well right under the spotlight with no visible shading impact.
The legs are wide enough to be scooped out of the bite locks and strong enough to support the phone.
